Chantal’s love for the aged came about when she was a teenager and visited her maternal grandmother, in an Old Aged Home, for over 5 years until her grandmother passed.
Chantal noticed that many other elderly people had no visitors, no treats and sat alone. Many had children who immigrated and never came back to visit their parents. Many died all alone. “They used to fight over us and claim us as their visitors” says Chantal.
Ever since Chantal was a teenager she longed for an opportunity to assist the elderly. Chantal lived in Berea for about 10 years, and even then noticed that many elderly people did not have the basics of food and toiletries.When Chantal attended Chemotherapy with her mother during 2010, she noticed many elderly in need of perhaps tins of ensure or chemical free cancer soaps and products, or even a caregiver or domestic assistant. Family is of great importance to Blaise, he lost his Aunt, Grandmother and mother in a space of 11 months and he realised how important it is to keep you loved ones close to you. Blaise has 2 daughters who are his pride and joy, there is nothing that is impossible for him to do for them.
Blaise is an avid scuba diver and is a qualified Open Water Scuba Instructor as well as an Emergency First Responder Instructor. Read More…
Ashley was raised by her late mother Sharon Olson’s parents, her grandmother Hantie Robinson and grandfather Eddie Robison. She studied and worked for 1 year as a full scholarship Auxillary Nursing student where she worked and did her hours at an Old age home in Krugersdorp. Ashley fell in love with taking care of the Elderly. This is where she realized working every day with frail care that they had the great need for basic toiletries and medical care, as also just a little bit of company as many did not have family that visited them. Growing up, Paul has came to love many things in life that brings him joy, fishing and nature has been one of Pauls favourite adventures to embark on in his free time.

Not only does Paul make his customers dream projects come true, but he has also used his skills to give back to his Community, from painting Old Aged Homes, to doing small renovations and maintenance for the elderly communities in need.
Paul has always loved the aged, he finds them entertaining, interesting and a bright light in his life. He enjoys making a difference in the lives of the elderly in his community even if it’s just doing something small to put a smile on their faces. It breaks his heart seeing the state that some Community Old Aged Homes have been left in.
Paul is married to the beautiful Chantal Kur (Soekoe), the Founder of The Lily Fund. Together they make a power couple, giving back to the elderly in their community, bringing joy and happiness to those who are often forgotten and abandoned by their families.
